Tamara Deedman (she/her) is an artist and educator based in Treaty 6 territory (Edmonton, Alberta). She received her BFA from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University (2015) and is currently attending the University of Alberta for her Master of Fine Art with a specialization in printmaking. Through multiple artist-run centers throughout the city, Tamara is an advocate for creating safe and accessible spaces for marginalized communities who are looking to find wellness through the act of making. Her studio practice includes printmaking, drawing, installation, and fiber with a heavy emphasis on photographic methods within the framework of printmaking. Her work focuses on concepts of memory, comfort, collection, and destruction.
